"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves... perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along someday into the answer." - Rainer Maria Rilke
Hi, I’m Natasha (many people call me Nat). I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, even a bit intimidating. After all, we’re beginning this journey as strangers, and what you bring to the table is deeply personal. It’s natural for it to take some time before you feel comfortable truly opening up, and that’s perfectly okay. My approach is rooted in warmth, empathy, and a deep respect for your unique experiences. Together, we’ll explore the underlying causes of your struggles and work towards creating new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.
Before joining Align Wellness in February 2022, I spent several years working in residential addiction and mental health treatment. This experience allowed me to support individuals dealing with a wide range of challenges, and it reinforced my passion for helping those who’ve endured emotional abuse and neglect. I’m particularly dedicated to working with people who grapple with social anxiety and perfectionism, both of which can often stem from early-life experiences. In addition to this work, I also have experience providing grief therapy, offering a compassionate space to navigate the complex emotions that accompany loss. Grief can touch every part of our lives, and I’m here to help you process these feelings at your own pace, honoring your journey through it.
In our sessions, you can expect a mix of storytelling, skill-building, and perhaps even a moment of grounding with a fidget from my collection. We’ll gently shift our focus toward being present in the moment, becoming more attuned to your body, and cultivating mindful awareness. My approach is holistic and humanistic, informed by DBT principles and trauma-aware practices. I also love incorporating artistic and expressive techniques into the therapeutic process, believing they can offer profound insights and avenues for healing.
